EAST STROUDSBURG – The PSAC announced the top cumulative team grade-point averages for each of its sponsored sports on Friday, with East Stroudsburg University's women's golf program honored for a second-consecutive year.

The Warriors have a collective GPA of 3.69, a figure which ranks first out of the nine PSAC schools that participate in women's golf. Every ESU golfer has a GPA over 3.0, with sophomore Brianna Carty (3.98), freshman Micaela Crines (3.97) and sophomore Amy Bergquist (3.94) each with averages above 3.90. Crines and Bergquist registered perfect 4.0 GPA's in the most-recent spring semester.

Earlier this year, the golf team received its second-straight ESU Team Academic Achievement Award for holding the highest GPA among the institution's 12 women's varsity athletic programs.

A total of 10 PSAC schools earned at least one Top Team GPA award. The golf team's 3.69 GPA was the fourth-highest out of the 21 programs honored.

ESU women's golf was one of nine repeat selections from 2016-17. The Warriors' selection last year was the first for an ESU program since the PSAC began the team GPA award initiative in 2011-12.
