BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – East Stroudsburg University held a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of Tuesday afternoon's PSAC quarterfinal at Bloomsburg, but the host Huskies recovered to win 4 of 5 completed singles matches, ending the visitors' upset attempt with a 5-3 victory.
The Warriors, who entered as the No. 3 seed from the PSAC East, won their most games against Bloomsburg since 2008.

Elizabeth Bartoli earned the first point of the match with an 8-2 victory over Anna Newcomer and Catherine Garrity at No. 2 doubles. The win was the fourth in a row for the ESU tandem, and it avenged an 8-4 defeat when the two teams met in the regular season on April 5.

Aubrianna Stetina put the Warriors back ahead, besting Siena Cerra and Lizzy Schmitt by an 8-3 final at No. 3.
Presby and Stetina upped their dual season record to 7-5 as a team with a third-consecutive victory. Zardet and Bartoli, meanwhile, are now 6-5 in duals.
All four singles victories for Bloomsburg (6-6) came in straight sets, with Cassidy Calimer clinching the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1.
Zardet picked up the third point for ESU, topping Garrity 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 for her fifth-straight win on the year. Her record stands at 11-6 overall, with a 10-4 mark in dual competitions.
The Warriors were competing in their first PSAC tournament since 2011, clinching their spot with back-to-back conference victories over Millersville and Kutztown last week. The Huskies advance to face West No. 1 Mercyhurst in a semifinal matchup on Friday.
ESU still has one match remaining on its schedule, as the Warriors will travel to Susquehanna on Wednesday, April 26 for a dual scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
