EAST STROUDSBURG - No. 3-ranked East Stroudsburg University scored four second-half goals in a 5-0 win over IUP in the PSAC women's soccer quarterfinals, extending its winning streak to 18 games and earning the right to host this weekend's semifinals and final on Tuesday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Sophomore forward Brielyn Hackett scored the game's first goal in the 35th minute, and was one of four Warriors to score in the second half as ESU (18-1) tied a school record with its 18th victory of the season.

ESU advances to the PSAC semifinals for the fourth time in eight years under head coach Rob Berkowitz. The Warriors are seeking their third PSAC championship, winning the first-ever PSAC title in 1994 and adding a second in 1997.

ESU will host California in the first PSAC semifinal on Friday at 1 p.m., which will be followed by West Chester vs. Kutztown at 3:30 p.m. The championship game will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. following ESU football vs. West Chester at 1 p.m.

The top four seeds all advanced through Tuesday's quarterfinals - No. 1 ESU vs. 8 IUP, No. 2 West Chester (3-0) vs. No. 7 Gannon, No. 3 Kutztown (2-0) vs. No. 6 Edinboro and No. 4 California (2-1) vs. No. 5 Slippery Rock.

ESU tied a school record with its fifth straight shutout and extended its scoreless minutes streak to 470:53 in a dominating performance, and freshman goalkeeper Jules Harris set a school record with her ninth shutout of the season and eighth solo shutout.

The Warriors had three great chances in the 15 minutes leading up to Hackett's goal in the 35th minute, assisted by senior forward Courtney Keller.

In the second half, freshman back Amanda Vojta doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 50th minute, scoring directly off a corner kick 4:15 into the second period.

Junior forward Sammi Jo Hughes scored in the 61st minute, Hackett scored her second of the game on an assist from sophomore forward Hannah Gombos in the 71st, and junior midfielder Syrandin Deere Vester scored on a header from a corner by Vojta in the 75th minute.

Vojta tied a school single-season record with 15 assists, with 12 coming off corner kicks. She has also scored directly off corners twice this season and is tied for the team lead with 19 points.

ESU held an 18-11 advantage in shots and a 10-1 margin in corner kicks.

Harris was called on to make two saves for ESU in lowering her goals against average to 0.44 (7 goals in 1421 minutes), and raising her save percentage to 0.896. Both figures lead the PSAC.

Jessica Printz had three saves and allowed five goals in 74:48, and Alex Arnoldy had one save in 15:12 for IUP (9-7-3).

The Warriors posted a 3-0 win over IUP on October 11, getting all three goals from sophomore midfielder Shea Neal in the second half.

ESU's five goals are its most-ever in a postseason game, surpassing a 4-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2008. It also ties a PSAC Tournament record - teams have scored 5 goals in a game six times (in 89 games) since 1994.

ESU will take the second-longest winning streak in PSAC history (18 games) into the weekend. Only West Chester, which won 23 straight games in 2006, has won more consecutive games since the PSAC began sponsoring women's soccer in 1994.

The Warriors posted their 11th shutout in 19 games and led the PSAC in both goals for (2.61) and goals against average (0.50) entering Tuesday. ESU has a goal differential of 52-9 on the season and has trailed for just 66 minutes of its 1757 minutes of action in 2014.

ESU sealed its first-ever PSAC regular season title on Saturday with a 1-0 win over California and will face the Vulcans for the second time in seven days on Friday. Cal has won two of the last three PSAC championships (2011, 2013) and has played in four straight conference championship games.

Cal advanced with a 2-1 win over Slippery Rock, getting two goals from Janelle McCann in the 29th and 82nd minutes before Slippery Rock's Tess Keeley scored in the 88th minute.

In the other two quarterfinals, West Chester opened a 2-0 halftime lead in a 3-0 win over Gannon, and Kutztown scored once in each half in a 2-0 win over Edinboro.

The top four seeds advanced to the semifinals for the third time in five years in the PSAC's current single-division format, and the first time since 2011.
