Box ScoreWEST CHESTER - Kristina Scherrer had a goal and three assists, leading top-seeded West Chester to a 6-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in the PSAC field hockey semifinals on Friday afternoon.
West Chester (17-2) advances to the PSAC championship game and a match-up with No. 2 seed Millersville (17-2), which posted a 2-0 win over Shippensburg (14-4) in the other semifinal.
ESU (11-9) reached the semifinals for the first time since 2010 with a 2-1 win over Mercyhurst in the first round on Tuesday. The Warriors were the No. 4 seed and had an 8-6 conference record.
West Chester scored three goals in each half, getting tallies from Hannah Davies and Scherrer just under 12 minutes into the game, and another goal by Rachal Toppi with 1:30 left in the first half.

Alexis Versak scored two goals in the second half for WCU, extending the lead to 4-0 57 seconds into the period. Dayle Paustian added the final goal.

WCU had advantages of 16-5 in shots and 11-3 in penalty corners.
ESU was in the PSAC semifinals for the 12th time and was looking for its third trip to the championship game. The Warriors advanced to the final in 2001 and 2010.
ESU had five players on the All-PSAC team released this week, led by junior forward
Ally Roth, the PSAC Offensive Athlete of the Year. Roth had 22 goals and nine assists, leading the PSAC in both categories during the regular season. Her 22 goals are tied for third-most in school history, and she will enter her senior year ranked second with 53 career goals (three from the record of 56 held by Ashley Kocis) and as the career leader with 128 points.

Jessica Lawville, a second team All-PSAC selection, had 16 goals (t-9th at ESU) this season, and 39 goals (5th) in her career. She ranks sixth at ESU with 93 career points.

Jessica Ferdinand. Gagliardi made 67 career starts over four seasons.
