EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University will begin the 2012 women's lacrosse season tied for 14th in the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association) Division II preseason poll, it was announced Friday.

The Warriors, who were 14th in the final poll last season, are coming off a PSAC semifinal appearance and their first postseason win since 1986. They were 10-9 last spring, their third 10-win season in four years, led by All-American Molly O'Hara and All-Region selection Michelle Mangiaruga.

Lock Haven is No. 4, West Chester is No. 7, Mercyhurst is No. 10 and Gannon is No. 13. Two of ESU's 10 wins last season came at Gannon, 15-14 in overtime in the regular season and 16-8 in the PSAC quarterfinals.
