EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University will host “All-American Night” on Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium, commemorating the ninth anniversary of September 11, 2001 in conjunction with the Warriors' home football opener vs. IUP at 6 p.m.

Military and emergency service personnel in uniform will be admitted free of charge, and replica American flags will be given to the first 1,000 people through the gates.

Before the game, a 30x50 foot American flag will be unveiled at midfield with the assistance of the Stroud Area Regional Police, members of ESU's Army ROTC, future soldiers affiliated with the Stroudsburg Army Recruiting Station, family members of soldiers currently deployed from “Operation: Touch of Home”, and veterans from across Monroe County. The flag that will be displayed is on loan from the Pocono Raceway.

“Operation: Touch of Home”, a Monroe County-based organization, will be collecting previously used cell phones to send to soldiers overseas. Operation: Touch of Home has shipped nearly 100,000 pounds of essential items to U.S. military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan in the last six years. At halftime, the Warriors will recognize their former All-American athletes who are in attendance. ESU has produced 250 All-American athletes since becoming a four-year institution in 1926.

Tickets for Saturday's game are $10 for general admission, $15 for chairback seating and $5 for adults over 65 and children under 12. Parking is $5 per vehicle. The gates will open two hours prior to the game at 4 p.m.
