EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University student-athletes Christine Bradley and Brittany Bissell have been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll for the 2010 lacrosse season.

Bradley (Pottstown/Pottstown) and Bissell (Woodlyn/Ridley) were both second team All-PSAC East selections during their junior seasons, helping the Warriors to a school record-tying 11 wins and a spot in the PSAC playoffs.

Bradley has a 3.67 grade-point average in Elementary and Special Education, and Bissell has a 3.31 GPA in Exercise Science. The IWLCA list recognizes outstanding student-athletes who have reached at least junior standing academically.

A three-time All-PSAC East honoree, Bradley has been one of ESU's top scorers and all-around players since her freshman year. She had a team-high 21 assists and tied for third with 28 goals last season, while also ranking third in ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls.

Bradley was first team All-PSAC East and the Warriors' team MVP as a sophomore, posting 32 goals and 19 assists. Her 46 career assists entering her senior year are sixth in ESU's record book, and she is one of three seniors who have more than 100 career points going into the 2011 season.

Bissell is also a three-year starter, with 120 ground balls, 50 caused turnovers and 17 draw controls in 48 career starts. She was the only returning starter on defense entering last season and helped the Warriors break in two freshmen starters, along with a new goalkeeper in sophomore Amanda Simms.

ESU has won 11 games and played in the PSAC tournament in two of the last three years and is expected to return 10 of its 12 starters from last season, including its top five goal scorers.
