EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University will honor its 36 1,000-point scorers in school history and welcome two members to the club when the Warriors host Cheyney in a PSAC East basketball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU has had 23 men and 13 women reach the 1,000-point mark for their careers, including seniors Andy Heimbach and DeAnna Rayam this season. Heimbach currently ranks 16th on the men's list with 1,085 points and Rayam went over the mark with 18 points in a win at Mansfield on Wednesday night.

A ceremony will be held to recognize the 1,000-point scorers in attendance immediately following the women's game on Saturday, and banners will be unveiled to commemorate the players in chronological order with their years and point totals.

Jonathan Roberts is the all-time leading scorer on the men's side with 2,218 points in his career from 1986-90. A three-time All-American and PSAC East Player of the Year, Roberts is the only player in school history to have his number (33) retired in the rafters at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Jackie Yandrisevits set the women's career record last season with 1,784 points, passing Claudine Simard's total of 1,733 from 1988-92. ESU has seen five women pass the 1,500-point plateau – Yandrisevits, Simard, Stacy Perryman (1,695), Tonia Lloyd (1,675) and Lori Pio (1,527).
