EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University is ranked No. 2 in the Atlantic Region by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Warriors (19-1, 6-1 PSAC East) were ranked third last week. West Liberty takes over the top spot following a loss by IUP last Saturday. IUP is third, followed by Saint Augustine's, West Virginia State, Kutztown, Fairmont State, West Chester, Alderson-Broaddus and Virginia Union.

The top 10 teams in each of the eight regions are ranked, with the top eight schools in the final rankings selected to create the 64-team field for the NCAA Division II tournament. The regional rankings include a team's record against Division II opponents and its in-region record and includes games through Sunday, February 7.

The Warriors also ranked No. 12 in the nation, the highest national ranking in school history, in the NABC Coaches Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

ESU's home match-up with Bloomsburg to begin the second half of its PSAC East schedule was postponed to Thursday due to the winter storm that swept across Pennsylvania on Wednesday. The Warriors have been away from action since last Wednesday, when they posted a 72-63 road win at Millersville in their only game of the week.
