EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University basketball and wrestling will be televised this week on Blue Ridge TV-13 as part of a schedule of five events slated for broadcast this winter.
The Warriors' men's and women's basketball teams will host USP (University of the Sciences in Philadelphia) on Tuesday, with the men's game airing live at 8 p.m. and the women's game to follow on tape-delay at 10:30 p.m. (6 p.m. tip). The women's game will be broadcast live on Blue Ridge's digital channel 113, and the men's game will be rebroadcast on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
ESU welcomes Pitt-Johnstown to Koehler Fieldhouse for its first Division II wrestling dual of the season on Wednesday at 7 p.m., a match that will be aired on tape-delay at 10:30 p.m. The Warriors' wrestling program will also be featured on Monday, January 25 when they host Division I foe Rutgers.
Two other basketball doubleheaders have also been selected as part of Blue Ridge's winter sports schedule – Saturday, January 30 against West Chester and Saturday, February 20 against Cheyney. Both doubleheaders will feature the women's game at 1 p.m. followed by the men's game at 3 p.m.
Blue Ridge recently completed its 22nd season broadcasting ESU football throughout the Poconos this fall and aired all five home games during the regular season, along with the Warriors' NCAA Division II Playoff game against Edinboro.
The winter edition of the Warriors' Sports Report, featuring ESU's winter sports coaches and selected student-athletes, will also air on Blue Ridge over the next two weeks.
