EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior forward Lindsay Foder, freshman midfielder Crystal Zerbe and freshman back Carly Collins have all been named to the NSCAA All-Atlantic Region third team following the 2009 women's soccer season.

Foder (Saylorsburg/Pleasant Valley) and Collins (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) were both first team All-PSAC East selections by the conference's coaches, while Zerbe (Myerstown/Tulpehocken) was a member of the second team.

The Warriors finished the 2009 season with an 11-7-2 record and their third straight PSAC playoff appearance under head coach Rob Berkowitz, who has put together a 35-20-7 record in his first three years at ESU.

Foder was a second team midfielder on the Daktronics All-Region team last year, which is voted on by the region's sports information directors, and is a two-time All-PSAC East selection. She had seven goals and six assists this season and will enter her senior year with 18 goals and 15 assists in her career at ESU. Foder has also compiled a 4.0 grade-point average as a Speech Pathology major through her first two years and was a first team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District recipient.

Collins and Zerbe are among seven freshmen on the All-Atlantic Region team this season and helped ESU replace six starters, including three NSCAA All-Region picks, from the 2008 squad.

Collins started 19 games at center back and led a defense that posted a 1.13 goals against average in the regular season to rank fifth in the 15-team PSAC. The Warriors broke in two freshmen backs and a new goalkeeper from their team that reached the second round of the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history the previous fall, and Collins also added two goals on corner kicks.

Zerbe produced four goals and four assists while holding ESU's defensive midfield position. She was in the starting lineup for all 20 games, one of five regular freshmen starters, and scored a pair of goals late in games down the stretch to help the Warriors secure their PSAC playoff bid.

Junior forward Kailyn Buckley and sophomore midfielder Devon Miniscalco were also named to the All-PSAC East team to give the Warriors five selections in 2009. Miniscalco, ESU's leading scorer with 12 goals and three assists, was named to the Daktronics All-Region first team, and Buckley joined Foder on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team.
