EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior midfielder Toric Robinson of the men's soccer team has been named the Championship Award Guys Athlete of the Week at East Stroudsburg University after closing his career for the Warriors last weekend.

Robinson (Westmoreland, Jamaica/Munro College) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II first team last week and moves on to the ballot for national consideration for Academic All-America honors. He has maintained a 3.65 grade-point average as a Business Management major while excelling on the field for the Warriors.

A three-time All-PSAC selection in the midfield, Robinson will have the opportunity to become just the seventh player to be named to the All-PSAC team in all four of his seasons in the rich history of the ESU men's soccer program. He started 83 career games and is tied for fifth in school history with 28 assists after leading the team in assists during all four years of his career.

ESU finished its season with a 1-0 win over West Chester on Saturday to wrap up 2009 with an 11-8-1 record, posting at least 10 wins for the 26th time in 28 seasons under head coach Jerry Sheska. Robinson led the Warriors with seven goals and four assists.
