EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University juniors Caitlin Brownley and Joanna Reckley have been named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division II All-America field hockey team for the 2009 season, it was announced Tuesday morning.

Brownley (Biglerville/Biglerville) was named to the first team at forward and finished the year ranked sixth in Division II in goals per game (0.90) and fourth in points per game (2.19). She led the Warriors with 19 goals, the fourth-most in school history, and had eight assists for 46 points. Brownley will enter her senior season with 30 career goals and 15 assists.

Reckley (Temple/Muhlenberg) is a second team selection in the midfield and had three goals and eight assists in her second year as a full-time starter. Reckley has started 50 of ESU's last 51 games since the middle of her freshman season.

The Warriors went 14-7 and made the fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in school history before falling to Shippensburg, 3-0, in the first round. The postseason trip was ESU's second at the Division II level.

ESU has had at least one All-America selection in each of the last 18 seasons. Brownley is the Warriors' first honoree on the first team since forward Ashley Kocis and back Katie Ord were named in 2006. This marks the eighth time since 2000 that ESU has had multiple All-Americans.
