EAST STROUDSBURG – Sophomore midfielder Devon Miniscalco, East Stroudsburg University's leading scorer during the 2009 season, represents the Warriors on the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Women's Soccer first team, it was released Tuesday.

Miniscalco (Churchville/Council Rock South) had 12 goals and three assists while starting all 20 games in the midfield for the Warriors, who finished with an 11-7-2 record and played in the PSAC tournament for the third straight season.

Miniscalco scored the first dozen goals of her career in 2009, scoring in 10 of ESU's 20 games, and never went more than three games without finding the net for the PSAC's leading offense. She scored the game-winning goal 1:00 into overtime at Bloomsburg to give the Warriors a 2-1 win and secure their spot in the PSAC tournament, and had five goals in conference action.

She was a starter at back for all 22 games of her freshman season when ESU made the PSAC semifinals and earned the first win in the NCAA Playoffs in school history.

Miniscalco was one of five Warriors named to the All-PSAC East team, the second-most in the division, and was named to the second team in the midfield along with freshman Crystal Zerbe. Junior forward Lindsay Foder and freshman back Carly Collins were on the first team, and junior forward Kailyn Buckley was a second team selection.
