EAST STROUDSBURG – Grandpa Pete's Bagels, located on Main Street in Stroudsburg, was recognized as the winner of the first “Paint the Town Red & Black” competition for area businesses during Homecoming Week at East Stroudsburg University.

Local businesses in Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg were encouraged to decorate their storefronts to showcase themselves as supporters of ESU and its athletic department, enhance the community relationship with ESU and create town spirit.

Grandpa Pete's Bagels receives a traveling trophy and complimentary athletic department corporate sponsorship package valued at $3,000. Other businesses that participated were Arrival, J-Birdz News on The Street, Paradise Tanning, Sherman Theatre, Stroudsburg Foto Shop and Sweet Creams Café.
